Mark Consuelos Teases Massive New Butterfly Tattoo After a 7-Year Reunion With His Artist
Mark Consuelos is preparing to add bold new artwork to his body. The daytime host revealed a striking design concept—a large butterfly—after catching up with his longtime tattoo artist Koray Ozsoy for the first time in seven years.
The morning television star shared the first look at the pending piece on his social media. The digital draft, showcased on an iPad screen, highlighted an intricate butterfly sketch alongside the caption, “Reunite after 7 years.”

Consuelos followed the reveal with a photo alongside Ozsoy inside a kitchen accented with dark cabinetry. Dressed down in beige trousers, a black T-shirt, white sneakers, and a gray hat, the actor looked ready for another sit-down in the chair, while Ozsoy wore a vibrant orange top and black pants.

Inside Mark Consuelos’ Existing Body Art Collection
The daytime co-host has spent years building a distinct collection of ink across his arms. A prominent Mark Consuelos tattoo on his bicep features a Mexican eagle tribute, mirroring historic artisanal designs from Mexico.
His arms also feature an elaborate scene created in Vancouver by tattoo artist Kaiju. That piece showcases a skeleton wearing a traditional sombrero, clutching a firearm and a clock. Another arm segment carries ancient Greek lettering that references Socrates, which translates to “knowing nothing except this one thing.”

The Infamous Vegas Ink He Came to Regret
While Consuelos takes his current skin art seriously, his earliest experience under the needle was an impulse choice. Following his 1996 Las Vegas elopement with wife Kelly Ripa, the newlywed couple headed directly to a local tattoo parlor.
A common public myth assumes that spontaneous celebrity wedding tattoos remain cherished romantic tokens forever. In reality, hurried walk-in decisions frequently turn into prime candidates for cover-ups once the nostalgia wears thin.
Consuelos openly confessed his embarrassment over the vintage ink during a conversation on Live With Kelly and Mark alongside guest host Jenna Dewan.
“When we got married in Vegas, we eloped, and we went straight to a tattoo parlor. I don’t know whose idea that was, but we went straight to get tattoos, and it was a horrible idea.”
He explained that he selected the classic theater tragedy and comedy masks, calling the smiling and angry faces intensely cringey to reflect on. He has since permanently covered the design with fresh ink.

Home Life Beyond the Ink
Outside of television studios and tattoo appointments, Consuelos and Ripa share a settled family life with their three adult children: Michael, Lola, and Joaquin.
The couple resides in a luxurious $27 million townhouse located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. After acquiring the historic property over a decade ago, they reimagined its interior with French accents and Old Hollywood styling inspired by classic cinema.
