Four-week-old Roman Augustus McCaffrey just marked his very first holiday milestone, joining parents Olivia Culpo and NFL running back Christian McCaffrey in a full-blown family transformation into the animated world of Shrek. The four-week-old infant made his seasonal debut dressed as the Gingerbread Man, anchoring the couple’s first official celebration as a family of four.

The 34-year-old model and her 30-year-old husband fully committed to the Far Far Away aesthetic for the occasion. McCaffrey covered himself in green face paint to portray the titular ogre, while Culpo stepped into the role of Princess Fiona.

Stealing the spotlight alongside her parents, the couple’s one-year-old daughter, Colette, made an appearance as the villainous Lord Farquaad, complete with exaggerated bushy eyebrows to sell the look.

Culpo revealed the seasonal photos in a social media carousel captioned, “Halloween ‘26 👻 Love, the McCaffreys.” The post highlighted intimate family moments from the day, featuring Colette planting a kiss on her baby brother’s head and Culpo sharing a kiss with her green-painted husband.

Inside the McCaffrey Family Theme

Coordinating complex group costumes with toddlers and infants is notoriously tricky, yet the couple executed the full ensemble seamlessly. Rather than opting for generic store-bought outfits, each family member filled a distinct role within the fantasy storyline.

While public perception often assumes celebrity holiday shoots are staged strictly for aesthetics, Culpo showed the playful reality of managing two children under the age of two. The inclusion of baby Roman comes just weeks after his arrival into the household.

Welcoming Baby Roman Augustus

Culpo gave birth to Roman on Sept. 29 with McCaffrey present by her side in the delivery room. She publicly announced his birth on Oct. 10, posting black-and-white hospital photographs with the caption: “Roman Augustus McCaffrey 🤍.”

The arrival officially promoted big sister Colette, whom the couple welcomed in July 2025. Culpo captured the immediate postpartum emotional high on her social channels shortly after the announcement.

“Heart is exploding.”

The couple had originally broken the news of their expanding family in May during Culpo’s 34th birthday, calling the upcoming arrival the ultimate birthday present.

Navigating the Reality of Two Under Two

Despite the picture-perfect holiday portraits, Culpo has not hidden the vulnerable side of balancing a demanding career with early motherhood. During an appearance on The Squeeze podcast, she addressed the sharp lifestyle pivot that occurs when welcoming children.

“There’s totally a shift. Whether or not you want there to be or not, you have somebody that’s physically dependent on you. So I’m not going to sugarcoat it. Yeah, it’s scary.”

Culpo emphasized that finding stability requires constant teamwork with McCaffrey. While actively pursuing professional commitments, she noted she would always prioritize her children over work duties whenever trade-offs arise.

✨ Family milestones look a little different with two under two, but the McCaffreys proved that humor and full commitment make for an unforgettable first holiday.

💬 Colette’s Lord Farquaad look might just take the prize for the best toddler costume of the year.
