Nelly, 51, revealed the hilarious transaction during an appearance on The Breakfast Club alongside his wife, Ashanti. The “Hot in Herre” hitmaker recounted getting an unexpected phone call from the pop superstar when he was chilling at home in St. Louis, Missouri.

Swift, 36, reached out directly with a special request after choreographing a backstage routine with her crew. She wanted him on stage in Houston, Texas, but she initially worried she lacked the corporate budget to make it happen.

During the radio broadcast, Nelly explained that Swift was upfront about her tour logistics. She offered to cover all travel accommodations, including a luxury flight, along with a modest stipend for his time.

“She said, ‘But what I will do, I will send my plane, get you a room and all of that. We only have, like, $50,000’… I said, ‘Can you put that in a McDonald’s bag?’ I woulda [done] it for free!”

Swift did not hesitate to take the dare literally. She immediately dispatched a Gulfstream G5 jet to pick up the rapper and his children from Missouri to make the Houston show.

Upon landing, the delivery went down exactly as requested. Swift’s father, Scott Swift, alongside mutual associate Robert, met Nelly on the tarmac and tossed over the fast-food sack packed with the promised cash.

While Nelly never saw the backstage dance routine Swift and her friends had practiced to “Hot in Herre,” the duo treated the stadium crowd to a live rendition of his hit single “Just a Dream.”
