A routine food delivery run turned into a deadly ambush when gunfire erupted on two brothers in Tennessee, leaving 22-year-old John Diaz Santos dead and his 14-year-old brother fighting for his life. Wright, who now faces charges of criminal homicide, attempted criminal homicide, and engaging in a criminal conspiracy. The fatal encounter occurred around 7:45 p.m. in the parking lot of Birchstone Village Apartments, located on North Dupont Avenue in Madison, a community situated just north of downtown Nashville. John Diaz Santos and his younger brother Alan were seated inside a black Infiniti sedan when the violence started without warning.

According to preliminary police findings, an armed individual initially approached the parked vehicle and opened fire directly into the car. Moments later, two additional males walked up, with at least one opening fire on the brothers’ vehicle before all suspects fled the scene on foot.

Desperately trying to escape the hail of bullets, Santos attempted to drive away from the gunfire but crashed the vehicle into a nearby fence. Emergency responders transported him to a local hospital, where medical personnel pronounced him dead.
