Lewis Hamilton Surprises Kim Kardashian’s Children With a Golden Retriever Named Halo as Chicago West Bonds With the New Pup

Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton confirmed he gifted a golden retriever puppy named Halo to girlfriend Kim Kardashian and her four children. The high-profile couple, who went public earlier this year, marked another domestic milestone as seven-year-old Chicago West bonded closely with the pup in a series of sweet home photos.

The gesture offers an inside look at how smoothly the British racing champion has integrated into the SKIMS mogul’s bustling Calabasas household. Rather than keeping his off-track life private, Hamilton openly shared the story behind the four-legged addition during a recent race weekend media session.

How Lewis Hamilton Introduced Halo to the Kardashian Household

Speaking at an F1 press panel in Austin, Texas, ahead of the Grand Prix where he placed fourth, the 41-year-old Mercedes-turned-Ferrari driver explained what provides him grounded joy outside the paddock.

“My niece and nephew always gave me a lot of happiness,” Hamilton revealed. “My girlfriend’s kids, I love spending time with them. She’s got four, so I’m getting to play with these kids. I got them a dog this year, so little Halo is a new member of that family.”

The gift holds special emotional weight for the driver. Hamilton mourned the loss of his famous companion dog Roscoe in September 2025, describing the beloved pet as a true friend and beautiful soul after fighting pneumonia.

Chicago West and Halo Steal the Spotlight on Social Media

Following Hamilton’s comments, 46-year-old Kardashian treated her followers to an intimate carousel titled simply, “a little bit of life.” In the snaps, young Chicago West leans in for a sweet kiss while Halo playfully sticks their tongue out.

Chicago, dressed in an oversized pink hoodie, is not the only sibling enjoying the golden pup. Halo now belongs to a household that includes North (13), Saint (10), and Psalm (7), all of whom Kardashian shares with ex-husband Kanye West.

A Timeline of Halo’s Appearances

Fans actually caught wind of the puppy months before Hamilton confirmed the origin of the gift. The pooch has quietly served as a backdrop across their key relationship milestones throughout the year:

• October Race Week: Hamilton openly discusses gifting the golden retriever during media appearances at Circuit of the Americas.
